One of a new breed of rock performers to emerge from Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, now based in New York City, Jerry Cherry (born Jerry James
Giamundo, Brooklyn, New York: guitars/vocals) formed the band Jerry
Cherry in 2003. "Creativity for me is almost like therapy," he says.
His songs take you into the deepest recesses of his mind, and you'll
find some crazy stuff in there. Jerry's musical output is equally
informed by modern alternative rock, 70s Brit Pop, folk, blues, old
country, rockabilly, musicals, and everything that makes an emotion
stir.

Jerry Cherry just released his self produced debut CD, titled "Life Is
Sweeter...". It's an album that's heartfelt, thoughtful, upbeat, and
very optimistic. The album was mixed by multi-platinum engineer Mike
Rogers who recorded and mixed Deee-Lite's breakthrough album "World
Clique" and the single "Groove is in the Heart."

"Life Is Sweeter." is currently achieving airplay on many radio
stations across America and is being well-received. Cherry has been
doing "Phoners,"(radio station phone interviews) and CD giveaways. The
single "Turned Around" is spinning on AC, HOT AC, and TOP 40 stations
and climbing the Spins Tracking System (STS) charts. JC's "Life Is
Sweeter." is also played on several internet radio stations like Harris
Radio and Best Hits Radio.

Jerry Cherry also landed the lead guitar role with legendary Chubby
Checker. This hip new band was put together to showcase his new single
"Knock Down The Walls" along with more rocking versions of his
classics. The band put on an amazing showcase for Red Distribution at
The Cutting Room in NYC. Packed with top Major and Indie labels, Jerry
lit up the room with his electrifying guitar playing and stage presence.

Jerry Cherry was cast on 2 episodes of the new TV reality series
Matched in Manhattan on Lifetime Networks. This show stars relationship
expert Matt Titus, a "dating agent" who works with singles in New York
looking for true love. Jerry portrayed a Goth musician who dresses up
as a typical 9 to 5 corporate worker and tries to win the heart of a
Goth girl. She's at first turned off by his business-like look until
she learns that true love is not all about looks. What a surprise when
she finds out that Jerry is really the man of her dreams. You can see the

Jerry Cherry performs all over NYC at venues such as Arlene's Grocery,
The Delancey, The Lions Den, The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End,
Rockwood Music Hall, Club Midway, Snitch, The Annex, Don Hill's, The
National Underground, and Piano's. Jerry is known for putting on an
intense, heartfelt, energetic, entertaining stage show. JC's band
sometimes goes beyond the usual guitar, bass and drums, incorporating
cello, violin, trumpet, and trombone making the live show sound much
like the production of his album "Life Is Sweeter."
